# Building

### Placement

Buildings in an inventory can be placed on a Land as follows:

1. Select a [Building](/craftdefi-whitepaper-v0.5.0/4qyEUpv3t4fyVcgcy7Tb/gameplay/building.md) from the [Inventory](/craftdefi-whitepaper-v0.5.0/4qyEUpv3t4fyVcgcy7Tb/gameplay/inventory.md) to be placed
2. Place the building on available placement squares on the land.&#x20;

*Buildings with a Rare rarity or higher will lose its* [👑Popularity](/craftdefi-whitepaper-v0.5.0/4qyEUpv3t4fyVcgcy7Tb/gameplay/challenge/popularity.md) once placed.

### Building&#x20;

1. In order to build a building, a building's and the required  [Resource](/craftdefi-whitepaper-v0.5.0/4qyEUpv3t4fyVcgcy7Tb/gameplay/resource.md) [Items](/craftdefi-whitepaper-v0.5.0/4qyEUpv3t4fyVcgcy7Tb/gameplay/items.md) [👑Popularity](/craftdefi-whitepaper-v0.5.0/4qyEUpv3t4fyVcgcy7Tb/gameplay/challenge/popularity.md) must be available. Once the criteria is met, the building can be placed on the land's placement squares and its orientation can be adjusted.  &#x20;
2. Each building will have its own time required to finish building.&#x20;
